Stalkers!

We present you a list of the main changes that will be included in today's global update.

Anti - cheat:

  • EasyAntiCheat was built into the client in addition to the existing anti-cheat system

Weapons / Weapon Upgrades / Modifiers:

  • The recoil and weapon behavior system has been completely redesigned
  • Now each weapon has its own unique recoil pattern
  • Added the ability to improve the characteristics of weapons:
  • Weapon workbenches of 2,3,4,5 levels have been added to the game, which are located at the appropriate locations:

— On the workbench of level 2, you can improve weapons of level 1,2

— On the workbench of level 3, you can upgrade weapons of level 1,2,3

— On the workbench of level 4, you can upgrade weapons of level 1,2,3,4

To improve on the workbench, you will need one of three sets of tools. The skills of the "Master" branch, as well as the corresponding repair kits and spare parts, will help to increase the chances of improvement

  • The "Weapon Upgrades" service has been added to gunsmiths, they are also divided into levels:

— A Level 2 gunsmith can upgrade a level 1.2 weapon with an increased chance

— A level 3 gunsmith can upgrade weapons of 1,2,3 levels with an increased chance

— A level 4 gunsmith can upgrade weapons of 1,2,3,4 levels with an increased chance

— A level 5 gunsmith can upgrade weapons of 1,2,3,4,5 levels with an increased chance

When upgrading weapons from a gunsmith, you will also need one of three sets of tools. The chances of improvement for gunsmiths are higher, so they will ask for a certain amount of money for the service

Added weapon upgrade kits:

  • A set of old tools — slightly increases the chance of improving weapons
  • A set of tools — increases the chance of improving weapons
  • A set of improved tools — significantly increases the chance of improving weapons
  • Upgrade kits at the moment can be obtained for completing quests, in-game events and can be found in containers at locations
  • Now, when restoring weapons, the number of repairs will be taken into account, the current maximum strength depends on the number of repairs

To return the weapon to the maximum possible strength and reset the number of repairs made, it is necessary to use a set of spare parts that is used for a specific model of weapon

The maximum strength that was reduced when upgrading weapons cannot be restored

  • Repair kits and spare parts can be obtained from containers at locations and by disassembling weapons. Alternative methods will be added in the future
  • Changed the front sight of the MAC-10 and UZI
  • Revised the logic of installing weapon modifiers on the Picatinny rail
  • Redesigned animation of wedging weapons

Gameplay:

  • The frostbite system has been redesigned:

— The frostbite protection formula on the character is given to the general form of all defenses (previously, frostbite protection was added together)

— Protection from frostbite is now considered to be the general protection of all equipped items, and not individually each part of the body, as it was before. Body parts without clothes are not taken into account

— The maximum number of accumulated frostbite effects that cause death has been increased to 300

— The number of accumulated effects of frostbite in the complete absence of protection is 31 (0% on all parts of the body) and 3 — with the maximum permissible protection (70% on all parts of the body)

— Changed the frostbite protection parameter for things

— Artifact Warmer is charged with the effect of heat from the fire and protects the character from the effect of cold for a while

Added the possibility of mass charging of magazines and transferring several items from / to inventory at once (You need to select several stores by pressing [Ctrl] or all stores in a row by pressing [Shift] and transfer them to cartridges of the desired caliber)

Changed the logic of canceling actions. Now you can cancel the current action by starting another action

  • Changed the position of the in-game camera
  • Changed the behavior of the camera in the "Near death"

  • Redesigned the logic of the explosion of all grenades
  • The logic of the flight of under-barrel and RPG projectiles has been redesigned
  • Redesigned positive and negative effects imposed on the character
  • Added new negative effects and ways to deal with them
  • Added the ability to transfer clan leadership and automatic transfer of leadership if the head of the clan is absent for a long time or is blocked
  • The location of anomalies in locations by type of terrain has been changed (Single fields of low danger, large fields of medium danger, fields of deadly danger with a negative effect)
  • Redesigned the places where containers and caches appear in all locations
  • The places where herbs and mushrooms appear in all locations have been redesigned
  • During a sprint, thirst is consumed faster
  • A minute's rest by the campfire without negative effects increases Stamina and reduces its consumption for a while
  • Containers at locations are now inspected with animation (like cutting or searching). After the end of the search of the container, you can pick up all the items by pressing the [F] button

Progress:

  • Added in-game achievements (the tab with them can be found by calling the interface with the [U] key)

Character development system:

  • The character development system has been completely redesigned
  • All the experience gained by the players (survival, support, combat) will be summed up, old perks and tabs will be removed, and in their place a "skill tree" will appear. Based on the accumulated experience, the player will be given a level and the corresponding number of skill points. At the moment, the maximum level is 150
  • The development system is divided into six branches with their own unique skills: fighter, stalker, survival, medic, master, hunter
  • To develop some skills, you will need to complete in-game achievements
  • The “Fighter” branch is responsible for the charging speed of magazines, breath retention and the behavior of weapons when firing
  • The Stalker branch is responsible for the weight carried, the range of visibility of objects, endurance, sprint speed and reducing the number of items lost
  • The “Survival” branch is responsible for resisting different types of damage and negative effects, reducing hunger and thirst, cooking in a pot
  • The “Medic” branch is responsible for the maximum amount of health and the effectiveness of treating yourself and other players, as well as maintaining/removing positive effects
  • The “Master” branch is responsible for the ability to improve/repair/create items
  • The Hunter branch is responsible for extracting parts from animals and mutants, cutting and searching
  • Removed "Main character Characteristics":

Strength, Intelligence, Agility, Physique, Perception, Psi

Removed "Character Characteristics":

Critical Damage Chance, Critical Damage Strength

  • Added experience for cooking over a campfire and in a pot
  • Added experience when getting achievements
  • Increased experience for mining artifacts in anomalies
  • The extraction of experience in all game mechanics was brought to a general balance
  • Removed getting experience for using drugs and eating food

Creating items:

  • Many new recipes for electronics, medicines and chemicals have been added
  • All old recipes have been reworked
  • Added a line with information in the recipe: [Studied] and [Unknown recipe]

  • The system of creating food on a campfire has been redesigned:

Cooking over a campfire is divided into 2 types:

— Food fried on a fire without a pot does not have additional properties

— Food cooked in a pot has additional properties

Frying food on a campfire works according to the old principle

Cooking in a pot will require the pot itself and edible ingredients for 3 cells

The final dish will have properties depending on the nested ingredients

  • Most of the items in the donat store have been recycled. The catalog will be gradually replenished with new interesting positions

Quests:

  • Most of the quest rewards have been revised up or changed. The requirements for many quests have also been changed, taking into account new items and the withdrawal of old items from the game (such as, for example, the hands of demons)
  • The system of storing quests in the Log has been changed. Added Chapters — subsections linked to large lines of quests. Each Sub-chapter within this section is an independent quest with its own reward. Usually, in order to finish a Chapter and get the main reward, you need to complete most of its Subclaves
  • The quest description now displays the rewards that will be received when completing
  • Goals in many tasks are now marked on location maps
  • Descriptions of quests (up to three pieces) can now be fixed on the main screen, so as not to open the Log once again to clarify tasks
  • In the "Groupings" section of the Log, you can see all available daily tasks related to a specific group of NPCs (by reputation), with time until re-taking, if the task was completed at least once. In the "Dating" section, a particular NPC also displays the daily tasks given to them with a take timer. Also in these sections you can view the current tasks from the NPC or Grouping
  • "Knowledge" has been added to the game — additional information that is obtained in the course of communicating with NPCs, completing quests and exploring the world. Depending on which NPC or NPC Group the knowledge belongs to, this information will appear in the Acquaintances of the corresponding NPC, or in the description of the Group. Knowledge is not just information. They may be required to take some tasks, complete them, or be checked by other game mechanics
  • The functionality of filters in the Magazine has been expanded. Now tasks can be filtered by location of execution
  • The main storyline of Lubech's quests has been redone, and a simplified passage of it should be available to players who have passed it before
  • Added a Neighborhood plot
  • The following major quests and rulers were removed from the game: "Big Hunt", "Wild Hunt", "Reward for helping stalkers" (27k reputation of Stalkers from a Retired Colonel)
  • A large line of quests of scientists from the Vicinity of Lyubech (Shleimovich's Camp) has been added to the game. All their old quests have been removed from the game
  • The Gourmet quest line has been completely redesigned. The old Gourmet quests have been removed, the players who passed these quests before the update, the whole new line is available in full
  • The passage of the quest lines "Trial of a stalker" and "With a scar and in a leather jacket" has been suspended for alteration (for the actual plot of the game) — they are temporarily frozen, the progress of their passage will be preserved after inclusion and will be credited in one form or another (the same applies to books with records about Mirny, Lithuanian, Bat and, of course, in a Whisper). The quest "The Fall of the Black Hawk" is also frozen
  • Added a lot of small quests to different Groups of NPCs (most of all - in the Vicinity of Lubech)
  • Additional lines of quests in the Vicinity (in particular, the line of Omega and Sergeant Gorely, the line of Mentor and the Light Path, the line of Mokrukh, as well as some plots of the Black Forest) will be introduced additionally in small content updates. Also in these small content patches, quests of other groups and NPCs will be added, for example, Vanya Ada, Bati, etc.
  • Since the quest system has been significantly redesigned, some old tasks may not work correctly. We ask you to write about any problems with them to Technical Support or to personal messages of the official VKontakte group. It is advisable to attach screenshots of dialogs and tasks in the Log

Reputation:

  • A Grouping section has appeared in the Magazine. Here you can see all the NPC groups you have come into contact with and get some information about them. Information can expand with the acquisition of Knowledge about the group
  • NPC groups are now divided into two types: Settlements and Global (political), they are highlighted in the section with their icon. Acquaintance with the settlement faction occurs when you get into the safe zone belonging to it. You can get acquainted with Global factions in the process of completing quests and communicating with its members
  • Each NPC can be a member of one to three groupings. One of them is usually the settlement in which he lives, and in most cases he will show aggression to the enemies of this settlement. However, there are exceptions. The NPC's affiliation to some Global faction can only be found out through specific dialogues and quests (he can hide his political views)
  • The bonuses that a good reputation of a particular group gives you can see on the reputation scale by selecting this group in the Magazine. This can be access to the point of rebirth, trade, additional quests, guides to locations, etc.
  • Now the quests themselves do NOT give a negative reputation, with very rare exceptions, so that a new player does not accidentally spoil the relationship with the NPC. However, when the "Reputation with a group of enemies" bonus is reached, each quest that gives the reputation of the selected group (or another increase in reputation) will also reduce the reputation of the group that is indicated for this group as an enemy
  • The Trading Points of NPCs belonging to the same Settlement will be summed up. They will also be spent by each of the merchants of the Settlement (they are common for the settlement)
  • Each Settlement or Global Faction is the heirs of one to three old factions (for example, the "Radius Settlement" inherits a reputation simultaneously from Stalkers, Military and Hunters, giving an arithmetic mean of all three). At the same time, if your character has not completed the key quests of this Settlement (group), the result may be less than the calculated one
  • Negative reputation values of old fractions are equal to zero when calculating (in fact, negative reputation is reset to zero)

Trading:

  • The trading Points of the NPC will be summed up into the Trading Points of the group that is KEY for this NPC. For Traders, the key is the settlement where they stand. For group leaders — their group (for example, a retired Colonel — the leader of the Village "Radius" and his FROM will be transferred to FROM the village). For any other NPC located in the settlement, another group may be the key. For example, Wolf and Leonid Kesarevich are in the "Radius Settlement", but the key for them are NOT the Radius Settlement, their children will go to other groups
  • The assortment and prices of merchants have been completely redesigned (to be finalized)
  • Changed exchanges with NPCs (to be finalized)
  • The cost of many items has been changed
  • Changed items that increase trading points when selling to merchants (dialogs temporarily do not match items)

Locations:

  • Added a new location: Black Forest
  • Added a huge number of elements of visual content of locations

Surroundings of Lubech:

  • The location "Chemical Burial Ground" has been moved and updated (now it is located in square J4-2)
  • The location of the Shleimovich camp in the vicinity of Lubech has been changed (now scientists are located in the I2-4 square)
  • The location of the scientific laboratory has been changed (now it is located in the square I1-4)
  • The location of the village of Belaya has been changed (now it is located in the square B5-3)
  • The location of the Imarek camp has been changed (now it is located in the G4-3 square)
  • The location of the sanatorium "Health" has been changed (now it is located in the square C5-1)
  • The entrance to the Vesuvius location was moved to the northeast of square I9-4
  • A bulletin board appeared in Imarek's camp

New Land:

  • Added 4 bonfire installation sites at the New Land location on Yuzhny Island
  • Added a bonfire installation location in the town of "Severny-1" at the location of New Land O. Northern. Now you can find anomalies and caches there

Location of the NPC:

  • Lithuanian now lives on a radio tower

  • Added the ability to collapse/expand subject information
  • Added portraits of NPCs in "Acquaintances"
  • Now the place of death of the character is marked on the map with a label
  • Now the names of places after visiting them are displayed on the map
  • Added a dynamic crosshair instead of a point in the battle state
  • A large number of small interface changes
  • The inventory now displays the number of cells that corresponds to the number displayed at the bottom of the inventory
  • The "additional" and filters were swapped on the board to avoid clipping at the bottom of the text
  • , "Autofill" in the creation of items is now always the default
  • Now the number of days until the end of the premium subscription is displayed when you hover in the game interface, and not just in the main menu
  • The "Search" tab has been moved to "Events"
  • Reset of all skills is available in the interface of the character development system. At the moment, you will be able to reset skills once a day for free. This opportunity will last until 08/18/12 In the final version, the reset will be as follows:

— After spending a free reset, resetting skills will cost 10 Coupons for modification

  • The display of effects in the item information window has been redesigned. Now the effects are displayed correctly and carry more accurate information about the effects that the item has

Graphics / Weather / Visual changes:

  • Dynamic shadows have been added to night weather
  • Added effects of getting wet and snow on equipment

Events / Events:

  • Added a new event: the transition to the Black Forest through the Usovsky marshes

Mutants:

  • Added mutants: wolf, draug, burr, crows
  • Dogs and wolves have received new animations of actions in a calm state
  • Already familiar mutants/animals have new varieties that can be found at locations and during events
  • The spider-hunter now has a remote web attack
  • Spider: reduced movement speed, increased health (due to the new logic of the event). Added two new attack types (spider web spit and poison cloud)
  • Spitting Slime Jelly and Spider webs now deal biological damage instead of explosion damage
  • Reduced the amount of health in Adult verliks
  • Spider Killer's health and damage have been changed. Now he will deal much more damage to the Spider, but he will also die faster
  • When cutting mutants/animals, the cutting process is visually displayed on their bodies
  • If the body of an animal or mutant lies on the ground for a long time, flies begin to appear around it
  • Added a health bar for bosses and mini-bosses
  • Changed the amount of armor for some types of Outcasts
  • The health of some mutants has been changed for the sake of balance
  • Most spider habitats are decorated with cocoons
  • Animals and mutants try to stay away from anomalies — their routes and places of appearance have been corrected
  • You can now meet special mini-bosses in the Surroundings

Sound:

  • Redesigned the mechanics of gunshot sounds
  • Updated sounds of firing/reloading weapons
  • Added audio notifications to the chat
  • Redesigned mutant and animal sounds
  • Updated anomaly sounds
  • Updated interface sounds
  • Added a procedural wind depending on the weather
  • Knife attacks on various surfaces are voiced
  • Voice acting of new objects on locations

PVP:

  • Changes in bases and fortifications at the location of the Lubech neighborhood (the owners will remain the same):

Fortifications:

  • The fortification "Mental Hospital - east" was moved to square F6-2/G6-1 and renamed to "Zadorozhye"
  • Fortification "Chemical sump - north" was moved to square C6-3 and renamed to "Radio station"
  • Fortification "Cliff" was moved to square J3-3 and renamed to "Abandoned parking lot"
  • Fortification"Flying Stones" was moved to the J5-3 square and renamed the "Boat Production"

Base:

  • The Sawmill base has become a fortification
  • The base "Chemical burial ground" has been turned into a fortification and renamed into a "Treatment plant"
  • The Sanatorium base has been renamed the Abandoned Mine

. Please note that the storekeepers of the former Sawmill and Chemical Burial Ground bases will be removed in the future. Take all the items from the storekeepers!

  • At the bases, you can hire workbenches to create items

The owners and allies of the base can use the workbenches for free

From stalkers and neutral groups, when using workbenches, a fee will be charged, which is charged to the owners of the base

Donation bases:

  • The donation bases in the Vicinity of Lyubech have been moved in accordance with the transferred settlements, while the owners will remain the same

Optimization:

  • The client switched to x64—bit - now, by default, the launcher will run an x64-bit client that allows you to use more than 4 GB of RAM, which will reduce the number of problems with missing textures and models
  • Support for the 32-bit client will remain for some time, but it will soon be discontinued, and it will no longer be possible to play through it

Bugfixes:

  • Fixed periodic jamming of the magazine in the hand
  • Fixed the display of helmets K6-3 and K6-3 (without visor) with arafat
  • Fixed a bug when it was possible to put on the RD-54 along with another backpack and a K6-3 helmet and gas mask at the same time
